Businesses of all types have an ongoing need to better understand their operations and their customers. This, combined with the highly dynamic nature of a competitive global marketplace, leads to an insatiable demand for software applications to enable business managers to operate their departments with the greatest efficiency and profitability. Unfortunately, developing or purchasing applications to deliver on the promise of an information driven company is time consuming, costly and inefficient.
Velox is a paradigm changing application development framework. The architects of Velox recognized that many commonly desired features of enterprise applications could be embodied in a generic framework. There was further recognition that the development of the data layer and the user interface were extremely time consuming and also represent a significant portion of the application development process. Furthermore, enterprise applications are typically not developed with leading edge data driven methodologies, which results in difficult to adapt applications.
Velox abstracts both the data and user interface layers of applications development. This enables the extremely rapid development of operational, scalable applications that are immediately usable, while ensuring stability and performance due to the underlying architecture being a “tried and true” framework that has been used in for years in high intensity, demanding environments. Importantly, the framework is inherently flexible and therefore applications built on Velox can be readily modified with minimal time or effort, which means that businesses can quickly adapt to new needs without lengthy development or purchasing processes. |

Velox was conceived over 5 years ago as a framework for developing a laboratory management application platform that would be sold to large pharmaceuticals, biotech and research institutes. Sapio Sciences Exemplar LIMS product was the result, and it has been a leading LIMS product. From the beginning, the architects were intent on developing the underlying framework in such a way as to embody the characteristics described above, while keeping the architecture agnostic as to the type of application being built. This approach meant that even though the first target market for the technology was laboratories, that the product was being developed to address a much broader set of requirements and applications.
In early 2009, Velox 3.1 was released. This marked the full realization of the vision of a powerful development framework for creating almost any type of application, and Velox Technology Partners was created to further develop and market this revolutionary technology to large corporations, non-profits and small businesses. Therefore, even though Velox Technology Partners is new as of 2009, the Velox technology has been in existence in rigorous settings for years, leading to a stable and reliable platform to which you can entrust your most important applications. |

| Vision and Direction |

Velox TP will continue to enhance the Velox framework to embody even more core features, and to further accelerate the application development process. On top of the application layer, we will continue to enhance our business process engine and data mining tools so that businesses can control the flow of processes in Velox applications, and better understand the captured data and its business implications. |
